In MYSTlore terminology, a visitor is someone who browses the site, primarily reading it. A visitor may not be familiar with using a Wiki and/or may not have the time to contribute.
It is important for an editor to make any article as accessible to visitors as possible.

In Myst Online: Uru Live, a visitor is a player who, as opposed to an explorer, does not pay a subscription fee.[1] This "demo"-type mode is severely limited. Current limitations include[2]:
- Visitors will only be able to visit public neighborhoods, a few parts of the city, and part of one Age at launch. Visitors also have limited clothing options, fewer avatar customization options, and only a few personal Age modifications available to them, but the biggest limitation is not being able to access the new Ages (areas) as they are released.
Despite the lack of payment, visitors are equally restricted in international availability as explorers.[Citation needed]
