The new memory chamber.

The memory chamber is a very special type of plant on the Age of Serenia. In some way, it stores the memories of the Age's inhabitants. According to Serenian legend the first Memory Chamber revealed itself to grieving parents whose child had died and told them that it could keep the child's memories so that they would not have to be parted from him.

At the time when Atrus and his family visited Serenia there were two memory chambers: the old, dying one, and the new one, which was in use at that point. Sirrus and Achenar intended to use the old memory chamber against their father (the details of their plan are unclear) but were trapped in Prison Ages before they could carry this out. Twenty years later Sirrus returned to Serenia, plotting to exchange his memories with those of his sister Yeesha and thus learn the Art from Atrus, but he was foiled in this by the Stranger and Achenar.
