Lalen (queen)

Lalen was a D'ni woman who became the wife of King Hemelin and was instrumental in ending the plague that afflicted D'ni.
She met Hemelin while caring for him when he fell ill from the plague. He would later credit their incipient love for his survival. Two years later Lalen found references in old histories to the location of lost Guild Ages of the Healers which led to the discovery of the Book of Birenni and the cure it held.[1]. The Guild of Healers declared the plague eradicated in 2262 DE (5394 BC), and on the same day Hemelin and Lalen were wed.
