Dimath
From MYSTlore
Dimath (DimaT[?]) was a King of D'ni from 4692 DE (2964 BC) until his death in 4843 DE (2813 BC). He was considered a more effective king than his predecessor, Ji, and active in dealing with ahrotahntee relations and educational reform.

[edit] Reign
Dimath was a Guild Master in the Guild of Maintainers when he was selected to be king, much to the surprise of everyone involved.
[edit] Enforcement of the Loshemanesh Laws
Dimath, unlike Ji, was quick to address the question of D'ni contact with outsiders. He called an emergency council that determined that D'ni would continue relations with outsiders, but they would impose stricter regulations on it.
The Loshemanesh Laws were enforced strictly. Dimath doubled the size of the Relyimah to focus on their enforcement. After numerous convictions, violations of the laws declined steadily until 4752 DE (2904 BC).
[edit] Education reform
Dimath pushed through an unpopular amendment in 4721 DE (2935 BC) that required the Guilds to accept some qualified students even if they could not pay the costly tuition they required. His efforts were justified in 4826 DE (2830 BC) when fusion-compounding technology was developed by the first non-paying student admitted to the Guild of Stone Masons.
[edit] Assassination attempt
The Relyimah foiled an assassination attempt against Dimath, in which two members of the Relyimah were killed. Two hahrtee later, the assassins were found and sentenced to death by being linked to a Death Age.
The execution was the first of its kind and had wide-spread support. However, those who favored cutting off contact with outsiders (such as Goshen of the Blood of Yahvo) felt that the execution was evidence of D'ni being harmed by contact with outsiders
[edit] Death
Dimath died in 4843 DE (2813 BC), leaving the throne to his first son, Yableshan.
[edit] Name confusion
His name is often incorrectly spelled "Demath" because of a typo in his DRC biography in the Hall of Kings.
