Church of Yahvo

The Church of Yahvo was the official religious body that taught the teachings of Yahvo. Because the Yahvo religion allows for prophets, many rose up and gained followers, but often contradicted each other. The Church of Yahvo sought to have do away with such contradictions by selecting a particular body of works that were considered canon.

[edit] Hierarchy
Not much is known of the hierarchy of the Church, however it is known that religious figures included priests and prophets. These prophets were primarily female as it was believed that women were able to communicate with Yahvo better then men were.

Besides teaching the philosophies of Yahvo, the Church of Yahvo also provided prophets to the Kings in order to advise them.
[edit] Teachings
The Church taught that when people died they would go to a Judgement Age where Yahvo would decide if they would go to the Perfect Age or Jakooth's Age, which played a similar role in D'ni religion as hell does in Christianity. How someone entered the Perfect Age was debated by many D'ni, however it was taught by the Church that one entered it by following Yahvo's commandments. The Church also taught about the prophecies of the Great King that taught the Great King would come to guide the people in the ways of Yahvo.

Created by Ri'neref, its original beliefs were very similar to his and included the prophecies concerning the Great King. Its teachings came to include those of Ahlsendar and Tevahr as well
