Cats is an easter egg found in Myst III: Exile that shows an image of one of the programmer's two cats upon activation. It is extremely difficult to get right, and to do it, one must zoom in on Atrus's shelf in Tomahna, click all of the pepper shaker shaped objects, activate the reflector poles in J'nanin, and turn one of the reflector poles towards a cliff face. If done right, an image of two cat heads will appear on the rock.

There is a second part to this easter egg: in Edanna, just before you enter the swamp, you can find a moth on a log. Holding the tilde key down (~) and zooming in on it will reveal two cat heads on the wings of the moth. These are the same cats as the above easter egg, and was put in by the same person. Upon zooming out, the moth will leave and not return for the rest of the game.
