Nikto was a Restoration Engineer who used to post on the DRC forums on a regular basis. He also worked with Victor Laxman on the KI at one stage.

The following section is written from an OOC point of view. Events and elements surrounding the Myst Universe are regarded as fictional.
In reality, Nikto is the nickname of Brice Tebbs, founder of Headspin, a company which got acquired and incorporated to Cyan Worlds, resulting in the Plasma engine. As all Cyan titles after Riven — including realMyst, Uru and Myst V: End of Ages — use versions of the Plasma engine, Brice and his team had large influence on the company. However, Brice has left Cyan in the fall of 2003 to pursue other interests.
